Green Eyes
(ColdPlay)
Honey you are a rock
Upon which I stand
And I come here to talk
I hope you understand
That green eyes, yeah the spotlight, shines upon you
And how could, anybody, deny you
I came here with a load
And it feels so much lighter, now I’ve met you
And honey you should know, that I could never go on without you
Green eyes
Honey you are the sea
Upon which I float
And I came here to talk
I think you should know
That green eyes, you’re the one that I wanted to find
And anyone who, tried to deny you must be out of their mind
Cause I came here with a load
And it feels so much lighter, since I met you
Honey you should know, that I could never go on without you
Green eyes
Honey you are a rock
Upon which I stand

Verse of the day
I've had a rough day today and I've received this Bible verse with comments:
Jeremiah 20:18
"Why was I ever born? My entire life has been filled with trouble, sorrow, and shame." (NLT)Meditation
Sounds familiar? When things go wrong for you, you might forget that plenty of good has also happened to you. How do your perspective and mood change depending on what happens to you?
We easily forget all the good things we've got and we forget to rejoice in the Lord for all His wonderful works and for His grace above all. I thank God for reminding me of the blessings I have in my life and for His amazing presence. I pray that He'll help me to learn to be joyful in Him. After all every single day we have is God's gift for us and I want to be thankful for it.

'Do not worry about tomorrow'
'Be still and know that I am God'
I've been feeling very stressed today and God has given me peace reminding these verses:
'Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own'. (Matthew 6:34)
'Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light'. (Matthew 11:28-30)
I'm amazed at the grace of our God, at His mercy and patience. He teaches us day to day and waits for us to learn our lessons. He forgives us each time we fail to learn and always gives a chance to start all over again.
He's been teaching me to trust Him. I'm not a very good student, but He's a good teacher. :) I praise Him for that.
Today I pray for the souls that are feeling uneasy and the hearts that are burdened. I pray that 'the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard ... hearts and ... minds in Christ Jesus.' (Philippians 4:7)

Psalm 121
Psalm 121
A song of ascents.
1 I lift up my eyes to the hills—
where does my help come from?
where does my help come from?
2 My help comes from the LORD,
the Maker of heaven and earth.
3 He will not let your foot slip—
he who watches over you will not slumber;
4 indeed, he who watches over Israel
will neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The LORD watches over you—
the LORD is your shade at your right hand;
6 the sun will not harm you by day,
nor the moon by night.
7 The LORD will keep you from all harm—
he will watch over your life;
8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going
both now and forevermore.

God of Wonders
God Of Wonders
Lord of all creation
Of water, earth and sky,
The heavens are Your tabernacle,
Glory to the Lord on high.
God of wonders beyond our galaxy,
You are holy, holy!
The universe declares Your majesty,
You are holy, holy,
Lord of heaven and earth...
Early in the morning,
I will celebrate the light.
When I stumble in the darkness,
I will call Your Name by light.
Lord of all creation
Of water, earth and sky,
The heavens are Your tabernacle,
Glory to the Lord on high.
God of wonders beyond our galaxy,
You are holy, holy!
The universe declares Your majesty,
You are holy, holy,
Lord of heaven and earth...
Early in the morning,
I will celebrate the light.
When I stumble in the darkness,
I will call Your Name by light.
Tonight I'm praying for strength and patience. I'm praying for strength and wisdom. I'm praying for understading that His "power is made perfect in weakness".
I want to see the glory of God and to celebrate His light. Amen.
I want to see the glory of God and to celebrate His light. Amen.

The Dark Half
I've just watched a movie "The Dark Half" made after one of the stories by Stiven King. I have to say it wasn't easy to watch it. The good thing was that I had the lights on, though a couple of noises made by my guinea pig scared me quite a bit :)
Anyway. This movie made me think of something. What if I was to meet someone, who'd look exactly like I do, but was the incarnation of all of the "bad" thoughts, feelings, motives that I've ever had? What if you were to meet such a dark copy of yours? What if this person contained the worst of your expreinces and had ever bit of the anger, agreession, cruelty, stubborness, envy, vulgarity you've ever thought of even for a second? Can you imagine what a monster it could be?
I don't think anyone of us would be excited to meet such a "copy" of her/his own.
What about our loved ones, our families, friends, people in church? What if they knew every single thought that has ever been in our minds? Do you think they'd still be able to love us? What if we saw ourselves at the moments when we are filled with anything from that dark list for whatever reason? Would we still be able to love ourselves?
But you know what? There is Someone Who has seen all those monsters. He met them on the cross, He nailed them to the tree. He took them away. There's Someone, Who has seen and still sees every bit of our negative side, but He's still eager to accept and forgive, eager to change us and renew. He's still giving His love to us and leading us from the darkness to the light. He IS the light.
Knowing that, how can we ever let the monsters be born in our hearts and minds? How can we ever want to feed our sinful nature instead of commiting our lives to the cross and to the One, Who sacrificed His life for us? We can't.
